im trying to get the new software onto my box, but it keeps saying downloading not requested, please can someone help

A few more details would be good?
What cable have you got ?? should be a NULL MODEM cable
In the loader go to code>then code send and it will bring up another box,select the bin file youwish to transfer then click start,as soon as you have clicked start apply power to the box.

It could be that you are using a rs 232 cable and not a null modem cable, because i also got that messagewhen i used a rs 232 cable( it was from maplin) but when i used a null modem cable ( 99p on ebay) it worked fine.

Whats the difference between the two cables...they look the same to me

I thought the rs232 was the correct cable, It's what I was advised to get when I first came on the scene and it works fine

depends how your doing it...an rs cable should work fine
