Does this box require u 2 have cable tv??

Erm no it requires a LIVE incoming cable feed from the cable co,with no cable feed you have no channels.

by "live" do u mean u should be subscribed to the cable provider?
or can the cable still be live even if your not subscribed?

no m8 you dont,as long as you get a signal youre ok,ive had this for 8 years or so without any package

No subscription for me as the same with alot of people. If you dont have a live cable input why not get broardband from your cable provider and get a splitter. Just a thought.
