Default talk back and ppv myths

conteray to what a lot of people on here say, it isn't always the case that recieving ppv means talk back is enabled.

i have known LOADS and LOADS of people recieving full pay per view with talk back cut. the guy that did my box 3 years ago, every box he did had talk back cut and they all still recieved ppv UNTIL VMn took over and the whole on demand was revamped... i still know people now who's box never updated to the VM, (still looks like these Cable Tv screenshots(past & present) ), and they still get on demand AND have cut talk back...

i dont know exactly how it works now, cus i since getting my box, i stopped looking into the whole cable scene, but from past forums and talking to the guy that did my box, i was always told that all the talk back did was stop them knowing what u'd brought, but not actually stop you from buying.

your box stores everything u purchase, but the talk back sends this info to them... and this is why people that use filters, as soon as they take them off, all the info in ur box to what you had brought via on demand, got sent straight back to the company...

That was the old filmflex set up, you cant use on demand with talkback cut, i have a box with the old blue epg still on it you get a few of the porn channels that are now in the on demand section but you dont get ppv unless someone has purchased it in your street, and cant buy movies.

totally agree, so it is a myth about ppl watching ppv with talkback cut, reconnect and let another sucker pay for it, when he refuses to pay mac is black-listed i heard.

Its not just when a bill is generated,as soon as the mac flags on the system (can be a daycan be a month or more) that is when they send the deac to the box and blacklist the mac,
Sometimes it can go unoticed and its Only noticed when a customer phones up !!!
There plenty of myths on the scene but running with TB cut does NOT get you VOD services,
The one thing is for sure though,if you run and order ppv services (sorry VOD) then you are really contributing to the hack getting harder as the CC's WILL calmp down hard.

yeah, as i said, i'm not sure how it works now, and it is/was the people with the old blue epg and film flexthat are/were getting it... mine worked up until virgin took over and revampt to the on demand we have now... i do know people who are still getting films and sports events, and not just porn with the old filmflex (blue epg) set up.

why do some people still have the blue epg?
