it seems to happen on the odd couple of boxes. the problem has been resolved by people buying signal boosters. normal rf signal boosters will do. only cheap from argos.

i have no idea either mate, a few people have mentioned the new firmware lowering there boxes signal whilst lots of others seem fine? those who have the strange lowered signal problem have bought signal boosters and that sorted a few of them out.

Freddie Boswell here and I've just finished shagging Lilo Lil.

Let's calm ourselves. Everyone needs to realise that some people are fluent in this renegade-technology (I mean the cable boxes) and some people are not. Same goes for forums like this.

Forums are "mechanincally" not normally understood by majority of people, and little do they know that the information they want is readily available - only if they'd care to read previous posts. Unfortunatley that's not normally on their minds. They will search Google for a quick answer, but then they will come to a website like this, and expect people to find the answer for them. But it can be argued that they should "earn" the answer, after all some poor sod has sat down and written the software, and he's gonna released it on the net for free, or the clever entrepreneur will nick someone else's hard work and flog it on eBay.

Loads of people are guaranteed to ask the same question over and over and it's frustrating for the admins and I can't blame them.

End of the day, we all want the boxes to work. I knew exactly what I wanted (a firmware upgrade) and it took me a couple of hours to get it, but than again, from the posts I read here and on other sites, people don't know where to start. It's not their fault.

Hi Advice Center. Can you tell us how much it costs to send and also receive a text from your Premium number m8???

Also at 160 or less digits available to explain each problem by text it might turn out to be an expensive long chat with you?

Why not be nice and do some free helping here like a lot of us do?

Oh I love the fact that you know how to set up multiple user accounts here to back up your claims.....

good call. Anyone wanting some advice just pm me if your gonna have problems getting to a pc soon i will gladly give you my mobile number and text you back for free. As long as you have a few decent posts on here so i know your not an idiot wanting to prank me. And as long as you come back on here when you can get to a pc and help others with the info i provide. When advice center was called problem solved yesterday he said the texts would cost 50p whether its true or not i wont be finding out.. And advice center, it is not illegal to ask someone to search something on google.
