EuroVox 2007 Max V LED and Firmware Issue - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone would have input into my issue. When I power on the recieer (EV Max v) the only lights are on is the Green Lock and the Yellow Message lights on at the front and the : as if displaying time, nothing else. I have tried to upgrade sw the latests 18-04-08 but no luck. I get the option of COM1,2,3,4 2&4 automatically fail while 1 and 2 stay at waiting response from your reciever. Im DEFO using female to female null modem cable as Ive used it previously to upgrade network routers.Any help would b great

SW: 1.0 STC4 Oct 15 2007
HW Ver 2.0t K5
Bootstrap v001
SW Build Kuro

Is it possible I may have to upgrade the box to an old version sw before I then try to upgrade to the newer one?

Anyone with any ideas on what the lights mean?
Lock and Message LEDs are on and the : symbol. Im not sure if null modem cable is faulty or if its the vox?
