hiya ,ive had my pc for about 12 months now ,and my printer has never worked properly ,i got new driver and such ,but it just stops working when it feels like someone told me its because of vista ,anyone got any ideas

I'm sure there is a service pack out for Vista now. Try installing it and then re-install the Printer drivers

Make sure you have downloaded the newest driver and ensure it is the correct one for Vista

Unfortunaterly Vista is still buggy as hell and its known to be flaky in the extreme with many peripherals.

As nano says install the service pack and make sure you have the latest drivers, but apart from that theres probably not much you can do if its still flaky.

epson stylus d92 ,it works sometimes but not that often , also where do i get service pack afoementioned

It should be on microsoft.com, and it will be on automatic update sooner or later.

Make sure you have installed the drivers under a super admin account. Also when it stops working, restart the print spooler service and see if that kicks it back into life. If so then it's probably a duff driver. I had no end of problems with Epson print drivers in the past. Some install their own print spooler which conflicts with the OS.

Try what I've suggested and report back.

sorry its been a while but i uninstalled the lot ,started again ,downloaded latest driver and it seems to be working thanks a lot
