Default I have a Sky dish and VM cable with no TV subscription - which is best?

Hi all,

As above I have a Sky dish on the side of my house that the previous owner must have used, and the cable from the dish behind my TV spare doing nothing.

I also have a VM cable coming into my house. I'm tempted by a Eurovox at the moment but should I investigate Satellite options for all tv channels? thanks.

You would probably get more channels off a Eurovox on Cable to be perfectly honest

There is a lot more free to air stuff on Satellite but as your dish is stuck on 28.2e for Sky Free to air is all you would get as the encryption Sky use I.e NDS is totally secure

On the otherhand the Encryption that Virgin Media use has holes all over it and is about as secure as the local open prision

I would say for the minimum amount of outlay and less hastle i would go down the cable route

I would agree that the Eurovox must be the way to go. Easy setup, easy firmware maintenance and good results.

Some satellite boxes are really to set up too

The Technomates are probably very similar to the Eurovox in that respect.

Ok, you can't get the Sky channels, but you can have a lot of fun with a motorised dish, seeing what you can pick-up from other satellites.

Not to mention, XXX material if it floats your boat.
