How to tell difference between 500s and 500s plus?

Ok just got in and was playing for the last hour and i have now maunally set astra 28.2 and thats fine its finding all the other sats again.

But the same thing is happening on other sats with the certain transponders

I can not understand what is happening mate.

If you use your other box, can you use usals and find all the transponders with it?

At the start you said that you were using your other box to move the dish, when you do that are you able to get all the transponders on the dreambox?

Whats happening wez is that I have now set it up with the channel lists etc and all is great. Whats wrong is that when i go to certain channels that are on certain transponders they do not show up at all.

Example installed fixed s*y dish to my house earlier lined up signal is 99% low and 98% high. Did a scan just using the FTA and didn't find the vault which is FTA.

So installed captains list and then selected the channel and then no go but bbc and itv etc are perfect the signal booms threw on the bar at the right hand bottom.

So when i put it back on my motor and select the vault the same thing happens.

This is not just isolated to Astara 28.2 it is doing it on all the satellites.

When i purchased my box i purchased another for a friend and its the same thing on both as I have just come from his house.

Leading me to believe that it is the tuner.

Can i post a non live link to another forum ?

Hi mate,
Check your PM box I have sent you a PM you might find it helpful.

I am really lost as to why your box is not funding all the transponders. it can't be the satellites XML.

Have a look around and see what you can come up with I shall try and think of an answer this end. If I think of anything I shall send you a PM, so be sure to look and see if you have any, not like me I usually miss mine for days lol.

Have a god at reflashing your box and then make sure that you tick the right boxes and the right things for the system as you need it.

**RANT** O.K. back again. Sent the dreamboxes back to bubblecableboxes. Cost me 40 squid to send two boxes. Anyway after a few e-mails i asked him to check the replacement boxes before he sent them out and he confirmed he would and later that he did.

He asked if I wanted an image installing I said I'd do it myself and then they arrived and low and behold exactly the same fault as before.

Now I have checked my system with a cheapo FTA box fine, skybox fine and a darkbox fine. Its still doing it on both boxes and my mate has a standard sky dish and both boxes do the same in his place.

I'm really annoyed right now tbh. As it seems to me that the boxes were never checked as still in original packaging.

Finally is there any way bar opening the box to see if its a clone??

It was my owwn fault wez i didn't get a chance to send them back. said i would and then something came up etc ya know the deal your self. But i do have to say i e-mailed him and basically said he tested a batch of them and they were fine and asked what I anted to do.

Think I might ask for a refund and buy a 600 pvr / 800 what ya think?

Or maybe a diff. linux box i dunno just really annoyed at the moment tbh.

sorry m8 does that clone checker if its a clone or if it has a time bomb for clones I'm not sure thanks again.
