Default installation equipment

Hi Folks
Can anyone advise me ?
I recently had a system fitted at my place in murcia, however they have fitted a small box with a feed in and a feed out from the mesh style dish, is this some sort of amp? or is it a power supply to power the LNB,? on the small black box which is mains powered, it reads SELENI R403A CFMMDS 18V 350 ma, I am looking for a replacement as this one is very touch sensitive.

Cheers

Hi, I suspect that this is one of those rebroadcast systems, maybe not.

Could you post a photo of the dish and box please.

Around the coastal area of Murcia there are a lot of people using rebroadcast systems for UK TV - the ones who don't have dishes greater than 1m on good, solid mounts.
I've no contacts with users of the rebroadcast systems who know anything about the technical side of things.

It would depend on the system. If it is re-broadcast I believe the technology used varies, and sometimes they even use cable TV receivers apparently. It may be a simple in-line amp, its difficult to know without knowing how the system works.
