help needed

Hi all, just picked up a dreambox 7000s, and so far I have not been able to make it do anything, The box starts up, the world spins round for a bit and then it stops, what comes up is all serices tv, none of the buttons work on the front panel at this time and I can,t get out of this,
Anyone have any ideas, thanks, michael

It sounds possibly that the box has not yet been set up. Assuming that the scart lead is all connected correctly then you should get something on the tv.

As a start I suggest you do a flash erase. That will clear any settings that have been installed.

Press and hold all three buttons on the front of the box until the box reboots.
As it reboots, hold the top button until you see the message on the LCD 'erasing flash'

Wait for the box to fully reboot and you will get a picture on the tv asking for certain info.
Language - select your language
Video - select PAL
Diseqc setup. - This is where you need to set up the dish control. Do you have a motorised dish or a multi lnb dish or a single lnb dish pointing at one satellite?

I don´t know the image that is installed,
I prefer installing a new one, with Dreamup
(you need a Zero modem cable, and a Crossover network cable)
there, i prefer the new "schädelmeistersCVS" , or "ozoon" image in Flash ( it includes all New Drivers)and at the Back of your 7k an USB Stick with Gemini Image..
if once a CVS image is in Flash , u can use "Flashwizzard" to get any kind of images on your USB Stick ( flashwizzard makes a Multiboot in your Dream)
