Really wnna get into this stuff, i wanna watch ass many channels english or foregin but i just dont know where to start. My box SAB xplorer CISC. Cheers in advance for any help. I was also wondering if i sholud think of getting a different receiver box. Any suggestions on what to go for??

Technomate receivers are well supported particularly the 5000 USB ones, very easy to up date.

Dont know your box but i have a echolink el777 and it gets all the channels on 19.2e/13w etc. That you want,
To patch the box with the new software is very easy.

You may wish to consider future proofing a little by getting a receiver with a card and CAM slot, as it is expected that the major packages on both 13E and 19E satellites to be secured relatively soon. You would then be able to purchase an official subscription. The TM5400CI+ would do the job.

Hi mate,
I am just a bit stumped by the above. Can you tell us a bit more about why you can't see all the satellites on the arc, please? The thing that I can't get my head round is why you can't put your dish at the other end of the house or elevate it above the house, on the chimney? There has to some way that you work round this problem with the dish. If you could get all the satellites it would be very beneficial to you, because Conax has been hacked, it is on the new Jolly cam and it should soon be on EMUs also, it is clearing the Scandinavian Channels.

Very best regards Wez

Reason why i can only get from 13 east is how my dish was fitted to back of my house. I was hoping he'd fit it on a pole so i could get more viewing but unfotunatly he juust stuck it at the back of the house, an said shame you don't live next door you'd get more!!!

That is a shame, didn't the installer consult with you beforehand.?

Hi nak,
Sorry to hear that mate, he is some cowboy that one, if he was any good he would have fixed it high enough to allow you to have a look at far more satellites. Is there anyone you know that could get the dish down for you, that is if you can't do it yourself?

If you can place the dish down the garden a bit to let it have a good view of the sky? You can have your dish fixed to the ground, on a ground stand, or have it on a pole concreted into the ground. I feel very sorry for you and the predicament that you have been left in, by that cowboy installer.

If you are any way handy and fit enough we can guide you through the process of setting the dish up down the garden, if it would allow you to get more satellites.

Please let us know what the situation is and if you can get the dish down and set up in the garden, it is not that difficult to do, and if you need to readjust it again it will be low down for you and you will be bale to do it.

Very best regards Wez

Cheers guys for all your suggestions. I'm jealous of one of my neighbours he has a bigger dish than me and it seems to point allover the place sometimes.
