You will need an offset lnb and a disecq switch if you want to have both of them on one fixed dish. You cant get both of them on one lnb if the dish is fixed.

Hi,

You can either fit a motor or have an offset LNB as suggested by Analogue.

You would probably be better of focusing the dish on Hotbird and having the offset one for 28E.

Another option would be to fit an LNB for 19E too.

Hi mate, welcome to the forums.

What AS has said is correct, if you want to receive both Astra2 @28.2E and Hotbird @13E you will need to get yourself an offset LNB, that is a LNB which is at the correct angle to alow it to pick up the signal from Hotbird, the difference is only 15.2 degrees so it is quite easy to get both satellites.

You then need a disecq switch, to allow you to switch between the the two LNBs to receive the different satellites.

It would be possible to receive signals from 13E, 16E, 19.2E and 28.2E on the one dish, but it would need to be a 1Mtr dish. I say this because if you like to watch the footy you can get a card for it on 16E and the card is only about £180 for the year. If you look at AS equipment, at the bottom of his post, you will see that he has a 1Mtr dish and is getting 16E, 23E and 28.2E on it.

I am not the best to advise you about multi sat set ups, because both my dishes are motorised and I do not have multi sat on any dish. Hope this is of help to you and that someone else will be able to assist you further with you set up.

Very best regards Wez
