Default Turning Auto Sort Off! (Max V)

Hi

Just flashed the final firmware on my Max V box, however, the 'Autosort' is a nightmare, as evertytime you manual scan a chanel that has gone down it 'Autosorts' every chanel!

Is there a way of having the latest firmware without the autosort??

Cheers

Been asking around for an answer to this as well my friend - no joy so far (apart from having to hook up the box to the PC every time - ouch!)

I think we will have to await another update for the firmware - hopefully not too far away.

If you do a powerscan after downloading the new firmware, it gives the option of autosort on or off.

Shame you don't have that feature for an autoscan or a manual scan as sometimes you don't want to powerscan you just want a quick update of your channels to bring back a dead one.

I've just tried a channel update (red button) on my MAX V 2008 & all the the channel numbers stayed the same.

P.s. I'm using the same channel numbers as V****n on my cdf.

Can someone let me know if this works?

Think it is Menu, Fast Install, 0-0-0-0, Red Button, (Pick Local Symbol Rate), Scroll down to Fav.Sort and turn off. Press OK for full scan?
