Default Help needed to find the right cable box

Hi guys newbie here - I have heard alot about the Eurovox cable boxes and the various channels available. However before I purchase one on Ebay I would really like to know how good they really are and how easy they are to set up? In addition after coming on to this website I've noticed that there are various other boxes - is Eurovox the best one available? Finally (sorry for all the question guys...but the help is much appreciated) where do you reccommend buying the box from i.e. from Ebay and specifically which seller or from another site.

Thanks alot for your help it is much appreciated

Tis an impossible question to answer a bit like which mobile phone should I buy. It really depends on how simple a set-up and maintenance you want. I recommend the Eurovox Max and these are available from our very own lincsat - You'll find his shop at the bottom of the forum.

To help compare some of the boxes features have a look at iwantabox.com and you'll find some useful info on some of the different boxes available.

The Eurovox is probably the best box available for the first time cable box user simply for its ease of use. It may not have some of the powerful features of a more complex box but you can pretty much just plug it in and watch.

Awesome thanks guys - I'm not really interested in complexity I just want all the good channels that I have on sky digital i.e. movies, box office, setanta, sports etc etc Is this possible with the eurovox. Also at present I have my phone line with Virgin media do I need anything else i.e. do I have to get their cable package with the box or anything or can I just split the connection for the phone line?

Thanks

You cannot get the tv through your phone line so you will need a live cable. I may be wrong but don't you get free tv with the phone? If so then you should have everything you need. As for the channels you can get with a Eurovox, you can get every channel that is available on Virgin in your area which should include all the ones you asked about.

Yes that is enough, you just need to put a splitter on the line and you are away.
