Default Thinking of buying

Hi everyone,

firstly I appoliguise in advance for the simple questions. I was hoping for a couple of lamens terms answers to a couple of question I have.
I am thinking about buying a cable tuner box (eurovox ect). I currently pay for NTL broadband, and I am not too computer literate. What do you need to do with the box when you buy one if you get one already flashed (I think thats what it is)
Do you just plug it in and away you go?
Or do you need to update it on a regular basis?
If so how regular, and is it just a case of plugging into a PC and downloading updates?
Really I was just wanting to know if it is do-able for a simpleton such as me. Or if you needed a bit more knowlege. Also i don't want to be spending too much time with it hooked up to my pc geting updates every other week.
Also I have an NTL Box in my living room, but no cable in it, do I need to buy the cable for it first or does the box come with it?

Which of the Boxes would you guys recomend for me (i.e a simpleton)?

Kryptview and Eurovox boxes are the best boxes to go if you are not interested in tinkering with your box. Both of these boxes had good support during the recent key rolls. When you first get the box you may need to install the firmware but once that is done you plug into the cable at home, scan for all the available channels and you are done. Updates to these boxes normally come out about 3 or times a year so you could hardly say you will be hooking them up to your pc regularly.
