Default T/rex cam and Passion

Hi please can someone help and explain,I,v got a T/rex cam with 366 preditor loaded onto it.Also have a cas3 plus.--- have brought up debug- ohAladin- etc on my Passion STB. I see the 16 digits which i believe to be hexidecimal. I understand not to program onto the first line of the 4 sets of code, ie.( 00-0) hex conversion is not a problem, but on line 00-1 the first part is say B7 (183)then 10 is this to stay at 10 or is it converted to 16 decimal. if so, is a zero placed in front of the 16 ie 016 to fit onto the 183 --- etc.
thanks in advance.

It all depends on which key has been changed, if the new key is 00, then the first 8 sets of Dec keys go in line 00-0 and the second set of 8 go in line 00-1, if it's key 01, then 01-0 and 01-1.
Always put leading zeros in when changing Hex to Dec to make it up to 3 numbers.

Why are you using the loader card? Which loader card have you got? A Fun 7 or a PIC F84A?
If you start up your software, click on Card Programmer, first icon, then insert your card, chip facing down, and try selecting Prussian Card 5 and using the Dragon Repair option.
You will be better off using your dummy card to load your Dragon Card.
The Dummy card is the oblong circuit board that came with the Cas programmer.
Connect one end of the 20 pin ribbon cable to the circuit board and the other end to your Cas 3, next to the USB connection.
Insert your Dragon Cam into the slot where the green light is.
Insert your Dummy card into the Dragon Cam with the 2 rows of 4 connectors facing upwards.
Start up your Cas software and select the Cam Module tab.
Select Dragon Cam and the correct icon, depending on the model of your Cam.
At the end of the File Name Address bar click on the small icon with 3 dots.
Navigate to the Predator file you wish to load, and click open.
Now click Start Update and let the cam load.

Hi Mickha,
Sorry I was unable to get straight back and reply. The dragon cam Ihave is a T/rex 4.6 Ive loaded predasaures 225 on it as this was the only file i could find handy before i went back to work.the cam loaded successfully on my cas 3 plus programmer. placed this into my stb went to ohaladin- polsat left the first 00-0 as hex, then carried on converting to decimal on the next line 01-0 etc untill all three lines completed. each line returned 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00 went back to a FTA channel switched the reciever off the back on after approx 40 secs tried various $ but had no success can you tell me what i,v done wrong aged but not yet retired. any guidance step by step would be most appreaciated.

Hi slick,
the latest Predasaur file was 226, a download link for which can be found in the Satellite Help & Support section.
If you are getting 00 appearing then either you are wntering 000 or the altered keys are not being saved.
Entering new Dec keys is different on some receivers, some need to press a button to save after inserting each set.
Go into the Cams menu.
Select Debug.
Select OhlAladin.
Select 7101 Polsat.
Select key 01-0.
You do not enter the keys into the lines you have mentioned.
If the new key is 01 then you enter the first 8 sets of Dec keys, 3 numbers in 01-0, and the second 8 sets into 01-1.
If the new key is 00 then the first 8 sets of Dec numbers goes into 00-0 and the second 8 sets into 00-1.
Enter the Decimal keys, the 3 numbers, these should appear on the screen now as Hex keys, 2 symbols comprising of letters A-E, and/or numbers 0-9, if they don't look for a key, on your remote control like Enter or OK.
If you're still having problems please post back and I'll check if there is a known problem with your receiver.

Hi Mickha, Just to say finally everything is sorted. A warm thankyou for your advise and help, without your patience I,.d still be in stuck. The FORTEC PASSION is in my own opinion a good stb. Briefly the cam (t/rex supermodel 4.6) works fine with this box. I,ve loaded both predasaures 226 tried and tested,
also predator 366 bothe give same results. insomuch as just program your cam with a cas plus three(if possible to have one handy)loaded with the prefered software 226or366 go in to the cam setup in the stb chose debug, ohlaladin, Polsat.
return back whilst in your stb to a FTA on say Hotbird, switch off your stb (Power switch) then back on once again. let the box do the rest. It will then initialise the cam module and you can then proceed to a required channel ie Premier1,2,3,4, etc.
All should work fine as i,ve found.
Well Mickha it seamed a complicated road but to be Honest, i think I overcomplicated the whole process thinking it may be harder than it actually was.
Sorry i did not respond to your return posts as fast as i should have but i,m a slow methodical slogger. god knows how many times i,v rechecked my Dish, alignment, checked for plum etc . a neibour commented still not right yet, I grumbled a muffeled kind of reply," practice makes perfect" and smiled.
Thanks mate, and to all the forum for taking the time out to read this.
can,t thankyou enough a donation will follow soon.

ps v. strange it all came together on my Birthday today.maybe i had to be 50+8
for the penny to drop.

Best wishes to all
fantastic forum of helpfull friends.
