Default iPod Vs iRiver Vs Zen etc

What gets your vote for the best large capacity mp3 player?

For me, its the iRiver. Don't personally own one, but, even while iPods were in grayscale, the 'rivers were in full colour. They have built in radio, a lot easier to transfer files from any kind of device etc.

Your thoughts...?

IMO, i think the original Ipod, it was the one to launch all of the other ones. Its tough as nails too. I got the original when it first came out in 2002, and it still works like a charm.

that thing looks cool. When I first saw that picture, I thought it was just the black part, but then I looked closer and saw the white. I still have to say iPod because they have alot of accesories and just look cool. I love how slim the video ipod is.

Ipod was the original, how similar does that Zen look to the Black iPod?

iPod has my vote all the way...

having owned a zen and ipod , i can clearly say the ipod rules , prepackaged software that came with the zen is really buggy and often hangs up, battery life is a joke too , the file system and file navigation cross cursor thing in the middle is a joke , i ended up accidentally deleting songs of by mistake just thru navigating thru it while changing audio tracks. the sound quality isnt on par with an ipod either nor as loud , only good thing about the zen was the ability to play divx movies which is lacking in the ipod.. mp4's are just too much hassle who wants to spend hours on hours re encoding divx films that they downloaded of the net in to mp4 format , just aint worth the hassle.. i was really dis-appointed with my purchase of my zen , somehow i expected more ....
