Default Reading BoxKey From Funcard - Is This Possible?

I hope somebody will be able to help please. I have been reading the FunCard Tutorial and thought I was doing everything right, but I have found that the IRD on the box is not the right one. I have an old FunCard that my cable guy did for me and the IRD is written on it - it also says clones. I though I would be able to read the card in CasInterface Studio 8.3, but when I click to read the card it states that it will erase the flash memory before continuing - is this where the box key is stored as it will be erased, or is there another way of reading it?

Thank you in advance.

It sounds like he may have cloned all his boxes so they all have the same bk and ird.
Anyway open cas interface up as you have,
Read the FLASH and click SAVE save as myflash.hex
Read the EXTEEP and click SAVE save as MYEXTEEP.HEX
Yes it will erase the flash when you read the external so thts why you read the flash first,
Once you done that you sdhould be able to get the bk and ird out of the external image, you can open the hex in a prog called atmega_ird_boxkey reader or convert to bin using swapbinhex then open in nagra/toxic

Marc

Thank you for that. I have saved the file and obtained the IRD and Box Key. I edited it and put in the latest keys and saved it back to the card. I thought this would work, but now I get an error stating there is an error with my smart card. Have I done something obviously wrong?
