Getting surround sound to work for the tv problem
Hi, this is my 1st post. I have a Panasonic th-42pz70b and a Sony DAV-DZ830W. I am using a HDMI cable and watching a dvd is fine, but I cant seem to get surround sound from the tv when I am watching TV. I have set up the TV and surround sound as the instructions say but no joy, Any ideas anyone?

Stupid me didn't read the instructions properly. I thought that the HDMI would be all I needed. Anyway, connected audio cables, (in and out), but didn't make any difference.

try connecting audio cables to your digibox and your surround sound device/dvd player. had the same problem with my samsung sorted now.i also only use 1 scart from digibox to tv.

Used a Scart lead instead of cables and it seems to work now. Thanks everyone. Only problem I have now is that my PS3 doesn't work through the surround sound, even though I have connected a fibre optic cable.

In the sound setup menu on the PS3 set it to Digital Out not HDMI and you'll be sorted.
