Default Preventing mash up of favourites?

Since i updated firmware, i have tried manually scaning (as i was told this keeps ur channels and faves!) when channels randomly go off (e.g. sky prem - alot!) but it fucks my faves up and adds all the foreign etc. channels i delete of dont have listed. It misses say ITV off then when i go on fave manager ITV1 is checked in the write place. what gives? Also it seems like the firmware may have disabled my volume on the downstairs box, the boxes volume makes no diff to the volume.

on another topic is anyone able to record from the eurovox yet???

With regard to the volume make sure you have the scart sockets in the correct one, only one scart is affected by the volume buttons, the other remains constant even though it shows on screen as changing. You can record from the eurovox but only what you are watching. Any thing that shows on the screen shows on the recording volume, epg etc.

Hi,
Try the following, it turns off fav.sort before you do a scan. Unfortunately it is one shot only, you have to remember to do this everytime you need to re-scan. Take care if you press OK inadvertantly it mucks it all up again :-(

1. Menu
2. Fast installation
3. Red Button for advanced install
4. Arrow down to fav.sort
5. Arrow right to select off

Take care NOT to press OK at any stage

6. Press exit on remote
7. This will take you to ch/frequency table

Now carry on as normal

Select frequency or frequencies
Blue button for manual scan.

Good luck and hope it helps

my channels were either lost or jumpy /pixellated, this fix worked a treat. only problem i had was a couple of the channels reverted to their original names, all i had to do was re-name them to what i previously had. thank guys.
