Hi,ive got a tm5400 and a twin block lnb.I was recieving hotbird and astra until recent winds moved the dish.I ahve managed to get hotbird on line again at about 92% but astra is stuck at 22%.my impression was that when you had locked on hotbird you would automatically get astra,
Do i have to move the dish or just the lnb to get astra? |

It depends on what the wind moved. Was it the dish or was it just the lnb arm?

First try raising the Astra side of the 'monobloc' (I'm sure) one or two inches higher than the working Hotbird side ---- without tampering with the Hotbird side of course.
Also check that the receiver settings are correct - but I think this might already be the case as your post suggests.

I know this might sound daft but are you picking up hotbird with the correct side of the monoblock. ie i mean have you moved the dish to far and are now looking at hotbird with the side of the monobloc that was previosly pointing at Astra?
just a thought. ![]() Mind you unless you have played with the diseqc settings as robbo has mentioned im not sure if its possible. Last edited by redoxide; 23-04-08 at 02:49 PM. |

Currently on Diseqc1 hotbird is 1 o 4 and astra is 2 o 4. On Diseqc 1.1 hotbird is 1 o$ 16 whilst astra is o$$ Might this have any bearing on the problem. Thanks $or all the responses so $ar $ is the sixth letter o$ the alphabet |

You can tell which LNB is being used by covering it up with your hand. So when viewing Hotbird, cover up the RHS LNB, when looking at the dish face, the signal should be lost. If the covering the LHS LNB makes the signal drop, you are using the wrong one. By the way if you do not have a Diseqc1.1 switch, it should be OFF. |
