Default Lidl FTA satellite box

Hi every1, today I bought the Lidl FTA satellite box and hav tried all morning between two of us to get it up and running. My signal will not go any higher than 14% no matter where i put the dish and I can not get any channels at all on it, on any frequency.
Can anyone help?

Hi there, that sounds about right for background readings you haven't got there yet.
have you picked a satellite, say Astra 28.2 and then select a pre-programmed channel, say BBC1 and then if possible look around for Sky dishes near you if any and try to get your dish at the same position and then start tweaking. You said you have just bought a box, was it with a dish? or do you already have one?

Hi,

The dish has to be carefully positioned within a degree or two (depending on dish size).

If you go to www.dishpointer.com it will tell you the settings for each satellite including 28E.

Select a known frequency (BBC1 transponder for example) (see www.lyngsat.com) set the dish elevation according to dishpointer and slowly swing the dish east to west until you get a good quality reading on the chosen transponder. Then do a transponder scan to see if you get the correct channels.
If you don't get a good signal 1st time round adjust the dish elevation a bit and repeat until you do.

Hi mate,

Liddll use to sell silvercrest sl65/12 they may have now updated the slighty but they should be nearly be the same. On the sl65-12 there was a built in sat beeper that peeped and the tone changed when you get closer to the sat. There where instruction on maplins on how to get these receivers to work.
