Hello,
Grateful for your help. Thanks in advance! Am getting more confident each day as I keep reading the basic instructions. I have a Technomate 1500c+ (last updated at the dealer's shop last August-so well overdue!)and have never patched ,etc. before. Here we go: are these the very basics?
1. Download darkman loader 187.

2 The latest patch.

3 Latest softcam.

Where does winrar/winzip come into this,please?

You need it to unzip everything as it will be compressed either by zipping it or with winrar. Winrar can do rar and zip files.

There is another question! Is a blind search the same as updating channels via patches,etc?

No, those are completely unrelated.

A blind scan is where the receiver searches for transponders and channels automatically, instead of simply stepping through its transponder list.

A blind search is aften much slower than a normal scan.
