If you are wanting the pay channels, no chance whatsoever without subscribing again.

Hi,
What other channels do you mean?

If, as AS thinks it is the encrypted Sly channels you are after, then there is, as AS says, no chance other than paying Sly for their repeats and other useless programming.

The box might be of limited use for other satellites, but because of the fixed symbol rates in the dodgybox, it is very limited. Freesat might be another use for the box, but I doubt it if you will get the full EPG with it.

Very best regards Wez

Hi mate,
You will be bale to get all the free stuff from the Astra2 sat @ 28.2E, but that is all from the satellites at that location.

You have the option of fixing the dish to either Astra1 @ 19.2E or Hotbird @ 13E, both these birds have providers which use either 27500 or 22000 as their Symbol Rates, so you could pick up some stuff from those two, but the vast majority of them will be encrypted and the dodgybox is useless for that.

Your best bet would be to buy a cheap receiver, have a chat with Southern Satellites or Lincsat as they have some cheap boxes and will e bale to give you free impartial advice on what would be best for you. With a cheap patchable box you will be bale to receive loads of encrypted channels. If you add a motor to your dish you will be bale to receive loads of different satellites. These might seem like very big steps, but they are very easy to achieve and the rewards are specular.

Hope this is of help to you and that you have a better idea of what is achievable, for very little outlay, somewhere around the cost of three months with Sly, would get you a good motorised system.

Very best regards Wez
