Default flashfxp

hi there guys with ur help and a lot of hours from me i got flashfxp to recognise my dbox, who said it was easy it is now now tht i know how to do it, now ave did tht wen im transfering the files to dbox it said failed, any help guys and dolls , this is how i got my pc to talk to my dbox,
1. i looked at the ip address on dbox which was 192.168.000.020
2. then i went into network shareing im useing windows vista, and changed my ip to 192.168.000.019 subnetmask 225.225.225.0
3. then i used the flashfxp and then i clicked the flash cymbol, a menue came up SERVER OR URL in here i put 192.168.000.019
4. in user name put in root and in password dbox2 and then pressed CONNECT!!! VOILA IT DID, but now when i transfer files it says TRANSFER FAILED!!! tried for bloody ages but wont transfer help needed please

I believe the more usual method is to change the network settings on Dbox to match your Router / IP rather than the other way around. This is easily done via the remote. I don't use Flashfxp but it may be that you need to specify the correct file type eg ASCII or Binary before transfering. I use Filezilla which has an Auto setting.

Is there a version of the file you are trying to transfer already in the DBox? If so you should delete it or make the files attributes writable so that it can be overwritten.

it was the only way i got it to work m8t, ive tried ASCII AND Binary , i dont know if it cause its a free 30 day trial, been on to there wb site, and zilch ty anyways

tried delete files but just keep comeing bk, also tried attributes and they wont be over written thanks anyways m8t, god know how am gonna instal the files into dbox????
