Eurovox 2006 not responding ahhhh!

Please help, I've read 4 days worth of Eurovox threads in the hope of finding some answers none have answered my woes! My 2006 Blue box is not responding to the remote control just 0000 across display I think I may have removed all the channel data when trying to Key in codes manually! I have tried downloading firmware update which seemed ok but box is not responding to menu/ 1968 1968 / all attempts to get it to open menu not working. I think I've removed all original software how do I set up the box again from scratch please please help!!!!!!!!!

Mite be your problem because i had the same issue (same box too)...
Also, to "reboot" the system you'll need the instruction booklet - Did you get that with your system?
As far as your channel data - You can download a CDF file for your area (if available) from one of the other threads...

OH and (presumably you've done so) ensure your box is NOT a clone...

Might be your remote. Look at it through a mobile phone camera and press one of the buttons. The infra red thingy should light up.

Thanks for the replies I have the users manual which came in the box I can not even get Screen 1 of the main menu I downloaded Firmware Dnup MFC 21 04 2008 I downloaded it to the blue box should I try and download channel data? Any advice on next step to get my box working? What does bricked it mean?

OK - bricked means goosed eg. broken/for the bin etc!!!
Apparantly this can only occur if you try to update a CLONE - Is your a clone?
Also, if your message is stating "as you said above" then i would say you have to download a CDF file from the forum into your box - IF that's the issue of course...and is your remote working - did you do the mobile phone thing (fab)?

Really appreciate the feedback people such as you Pixel8 and fj1200 are giving me. I don't have a mobile with camera to check out remote but batteries are fine I live in east london on N*L can I load CDF files from any London area or does it have to be my postcode area. Where do I find them please?

Thanks again for both of your kind replies. According to the checks the star buttons on the flip side of the lid are silver thus possibly seeming to indicate a genuine box! I hope!
I have downloaded the nearest CDF stratford file to my desktop do I load this from the desktop on my computer to my 2006 box is this what my box is waiting for?
