Hi mate,

Are you saying that your computer is hard wired on the power supply lead is hard wired? If there is nothting on the screen it just looks like the receiver is not getting any power. Check the fuse in the plug?? Check no wires have pulled out the plug. If power adaptor is now hardwired check voltage at end on lead, ie any voltage or break in cable. Next check inside box there could well be a small glass fuse, see if that has blown. If you are unsure about electrics please turn the box off at the mains before entering.

No I mean I was connected to my computer by an ethernet cable so I could communicate with the dreambox but since the accident there is no connection and the lcd display on the dreambox is lit up but nothing else,no writing or anything and the connection to the tv is also blank, someone suggested it could be the power supply adapter.I have a 160gb hard drive fitted to the db which contained all the images I use but now the box doesn't reboot or anything.

If the LCD is lit up then the power supply is probably ok.

I would suggest that you try disconnecting the hard drive, check that any plug-in boards are securely in place and also make sure that the ribbon cable to the LCD is secure. I had one that was slightly out at one end after being disturbed and it was lit but no data connection.

Also check the scart cable connection at both ends.

The lan connection could be damaged so I would recommend trying to connect via serial cable and Dreamup to reflash the box image.

Hi pockets.

You could try one of the shops who sell on here. Or where are you in yorkshire. You could try wakefield satellite shop, or try jules625 over at alsat he's there authorised repairer.

I would send it to Sat store mate. Hes an authorised seller for DMM and as far as i am aware they also do repairs.

He is 100% trustworthy as i have dealt with Mark who runs it on several occasions with no problem at all.

Already tried,this is the reply.
Sorry I can only repair my own supplied boxes.

The "official" agents are SMS _http://www.dreamboxshop.co.uk
They should be able to help you.
