Default nokia data cable?

do they work good with libby and pace4000.i need to set netid and i dont have the rs232 socket.i think the scart to rs232 adaptor isnt recommended but,i read in angels novice guide that they work well.

as you can imagine i need to set the netid for a pace4000.

is this it?

or can anyone point me to the correct cable if thats not the correct one?

thanks.

i already tried,it is no go.

i reset the box,i changed the frequency and pin.i made the funcard and used netid to create an inteep.hex but,it just dont change the netid.it says please wait for the card status.

i extracted the ird and bk with a jtag and bke.

so with no rs232 connection on the rear it looks like i will have to use a nokia cable to connect the box to my pc,i just did a 1000phaseb today and i changed the netid with libby and an rs232 cable that i already got for the programmer.

so rather than messing i would prefer to use the nokia cable and do it with libdeug.

i am 100% positive i have got the correct bk with bke.

When you tried to set with card did you reset box first by pulling red jumper ?

yes.all i did was put in the frequency and pin.

it looks like even though some say try the funcard that some model boxs cant be updated using the funcard way.

would it be correct, that some model cable boxs cant have the netid set with funcard method?

thanks for all the other suggestions, the novice angel guide said the acart to serial can be used but,it also said that the chances of getting it working was offputting.so i ordered the male to male usb lead.will try and if no luck will try something else that has been suggested.

either way i will keep the thread updated with result as long as it is alive.

As far as i can remember ALL models can be set using the netid fun method, there was a later version to deal with the 2110 but they all work.sometimes you need to write the inteep twice,so write the rest of the card then go back and write the inteep again.

The scart to serial adapter method will work on all pace boxes no problem at all.
Samsung can be done with netidfun and jtag.
Theres no reason at all thescart / serial adapter and libby will not work on a pace box have used it several times myself on 4000 models,as long as you use the right config file with libby theres no reaosn it wont work on a 4000 model
