Eurosport 2 joins Premiere Star

Sports channel Eurosport 2 will join German pay-TV platform Premiere Star on May 29.

The digital sister service of European sports channel Eurosport is the 18th television channel on board the bouquet available to DTH satellite homes in Germany and Austria from €13.99 per month via Astra (19.2 East). Eurosport 2 is the second sports channel offered by Premiere Star after US sports broadcaster North American Sports Network (NASN).

Eurosport 2 is already available to German DTH households via Astra on Unitymedia’s pay-TV platform arenaSAT. The channel is also offered on cable networks and via mobile TV. The service, which was launched in 2005 and is offered in 11 languages, reaches a total of around 30 million households in 43 countries.
