Dbox 2 keylist.txt empty SIZE = 0....cant find answer


Hi all....ive done evrything i can see on the forums and am stuck.....how can i get the keys back....cant even change one cause they are empty.....auto update = automatic....evocamd restarted.....ive got nagraram x 2 and nagrarom x3 (7,10,11) (new ones from bigm which i d/l and fxp to my box)...restarted box ect.....waited 30mins plus on ss1....cant think of much else....help....only been messing with box since VM went to war....thanks ;/

if you keylist.txt file is empty you may have changed the file writes on that file so the file will not get written to
so in tuxbox commander navigate to the file press 1 this will bring up the file writes and check that write is enabled or green.

or try mgcamd to see if that updates

Thanks but yes they are in green and enabled.....im going to try to create the keys via fxp from a template of what they look like from another post and i will put the same time date day ect from the recent roll, exactly as the template is......but so far the auto update nagrarom7,10,11 ect fix .bin files i trx across have not worked, i dont know why but update is activated on evocamd ect ect ect.....stumped me tonight this one ;/....i only started to test the "fix" and it went TU from there lol.

if you used the files that lincsat posted in the thread Heres how to update dbox with the remote post 2 (keys) camd cfg and mg.cfg these will not update as they are edited to stop auto update.
try these ftp them into your keys folder and over write the ones that are there hope this helps

johny48 thanks for replying ect....in the end i got to the d/l section and trx all the "magic files" over via fxp and that seems to have worked....seems now its all up and running.....my area keys were not on the keylist.txt so i put it on SS1 and within 2 mins it updated the keylist.txt with my area keys so i assume thats it .
Much appreciated to all involved in this site and i am learningly reading about loads of other things that can be done....i feel some tinkering going on heh....D.

Well now this is summin else ......now it keeps updating itself and adding the same keys, so now my keylist.txt contains 1433+ lines of keys....what im thinking now is how big will this file will get and how much has the box space wise before it cant write the new updated keys ....any answers please ?

im not sure m8 but there may be an option within the keys menu i think it is change setting to only update new keys but cant be 100% about it by the way what image are you using.

Yea that is all as should be.....what happened is i didnt empty the keys folder on the box i just overwrite and overwriting caused the prob....so now i deleted the whole folder on the box and put the whole new "magic files" keys folder on the box and its worked and also added my area codes on the keylist.txt....so now i changed one key and rebooted to check and it updated the new key only once and not 1433+ times...lol....thanks again .....

I'm sorry but it's like I'm reading japeneese, sorry, but I have the same problem, no keys, no chanel, no transponder detected when I ask for a scan, I have a big problem.
ti say thetru it's my first time to start looking how to work out my Dbox.
how to do the update, how to go to my keys list?
I'm in bristol and when I would like to make a scan, that the cable provider I can found;
cable uk sym 6952
cable uk sym 6887
before when I was making a scan I was founding over 43 transponders, but no, when I make a scan, there is nothing, no transponder, no chanels
please I'm a begginer, and I need really all your help.
