Default April 21 firmware v April 10 firmware

Advice and opinions please guys.

Downloaded a 10 April Eurovox Max Blue Box update from BigMaq with good results. I now see an April 21 version has appeared. Why the update? Is it recommended to now download the 21 April? Is 10 April buggy? Or should I just leave the 10 April as it seems to be working fine?

The common feeling (I Think) is that the earlier fix was a rush job to get past the initial key rolls, Here is the read me file from the self extractor.

Eurovox Max BLUE Release

UFL_Max_BLUE_21_04_08.exe

April 21st 2008

This file adds the following:-

1. Huge number of powerful enhancements to the previous Keyroll fix.

2. Chorus Support

3. Faster, more powerful key update.

This file is recommended above all other files. The second one is a final version, faster updating, and solves some problems for C*oR** users in ireland. I have used the final one on the max

I am using the 21st version now. Much quicker to update keys after roll thatn 10th version IMO.

Cool Re: April 21 firmware v April 10 firmware

hi, i updated 2 of my max v boxes a couple of weeks ago with 10/4/08 f/w, then tonight i updated one with the 21/4/08 f/w.

with the 21/4/08 i only managed to find 5 channels contained in 3 frequences..

i then put the older 10/4/08 f/w back on it and it fine again.. found all 245 channels...

i think the 10/4/08 firmware wins hands down for me..

i agree maybe it has got something to do with the area you live in with this problem, but other ppl seem to have similar symptoms but a differnt number of channels..

I am using NTHell Dublin. I have all the same channels and frequencies as before. Just backed up the cdf before and reloaded after update. Hey presto, all sorted.......

this version has been giving me problems,,,, have you managed to find all your channels, and if so are they all unlocked..

the 21/4/08 firmware i find to be defective and the problem is cured by flashing with the 10/4/08 f/w

As I said, I just backed up the cdf file which has all the channel info before flashing and then reloaded it on to the box after flashing and all my channels were as before.
