Default mac problem

If i use dhcpforce to sniff for macs from my current 2 meg mac that i am using which I got from my mates computer. Will the macs I get be from the area that my current working mac address is from so that I can use them or from the area I am currently in I hope this makes sense

I dont think it works like that.
What area are you in? If your in EX C&W then you can use DHCP Sniffer and you will be able to scan for macs and what ever comes up with a config file you should be able to use.

try this... google... virgin media tools.... first page... halfway down it'l tell u what ubr u are on e.g cable.ubr08.sheff.something.
Do the same at your mates, so long as the ubr's are only afew numbers away you can use the mac
