Flashing eurovox with Null-Modem Cable & USB to RS232 Adapter

When using a rs232 to USB adapter, you still need to use the rs232 NULL MODEM cable as well.

These adapters are very hit and miss - whilst they work for some, they won't for others regardless of whether you're on Vista or XP.

Your other options are

a. buy a Serial Port PCI Card (I did and it worked)
b. borrow some computer time from friend that has the correct port on their PC
c. if you have access to an updated box, copy that one directly to yours (no PC needed)
