there has been lots of hype about this new file comming for diablo cam

but as Ive not seen it so far today has anyone else ?

It will only be for the new Diablo 2.3 cam and rumours are that it will be released some time today.

anyone gonna try it on a version 2.2 cam ?

also i wonder if anyone gets a v2.3 cam to see if they can get an extract of the boot rom or whatever it is on the cam and try flash a v2.2 cam

According to a source the files will work on the older cams but you wont be able to get the extras.
The file is supposed to be able to check the boot version of the cam and decide how to update it.
Did you find out what new extras the file is offering?

None, if that was possible Canal Digital would be available on general emulation by now.
This new Diablo 2.3 isn't much different to the 2.2 but the bootlader is different, the new underworld 107 file recognises this fact and wont load the new conax hack on any cam without the latest bootloader.
At the moment it seems to be a case of buy the new cam for Canal Digital or use the same file to get TPS, Premiere, Polsat and Digi TV.

ok im a little pigged as only had the cam for a few days

has there ever been a bootloader upgrade for diablo cam before ie from 2.1 to 2.2

No, this is a new system brought out by the Diablo team for them to sell the newer cam and provide new channels.
The Dragon team did a similar thing, bringing out the T-Rex 4.6 supermodul, but this proved to be a waste of money as the exclusive hack, Premiere, soon became public, and the cam never lived up to the hype.
Only time will tell if the new Diablo Cam is worth the money, for now we still have a lot of choices, Premiere, TPS, Polsat and Digi TV, but within a couple of months we will start losing these channels.
No one knows what the future will bring which is why the satellite hobby is so exciting.
Up to now there was no need for anyone to attempt to break the information held in the Diablo Cam, as all the information it contained was public, but now it holds secret information so who knows what will happen next !!!!!!

I have the new cam and with a certain kind gentlemans help have learnt how to use it.Will I now have to go looking for a new file?
