Hello all
Hope u r all well and doing fine. I have signed up to V***** M**** medium (free) digital tv package. At present I have my n** analogue box and eurovox box split and I am receiving all channels. Basically I have cancelled my analogue subscription and signed up for the free digital tv package to save a few quid. Currently I have the coax cable running into the back room of my house whereby the cable is split and hence running to the eurovox box and n*l analogue box and everything is working brilliant. However, the v***** m**** guy is coming this week to install the new digibox. I am going to ask him to possibly run a new coax cable into the front room of my house and leave the other cable as it is in the back room (going to tell him I want this just left as I may still connect the box to the back room or may switch the box between the rooms from time to time). Would this then work ok if I had the V***** digibox in the front room connected to the new coax cable and the eurovox connected to the existing coax cable in the back room or does the cable need to be split? Also would the signal be weaker if there were 2 cables running into the house ie. front room and back room, and would it cost me more to have these 2 seperate cables running into both rooms? Last question, if it was setup as above ie. 2 seperate cables instead of split, would they be able to detect that there was a eurovox connected to one of the cables? Hope this makes sense. Cheers for any answers in advance! Thank you. Rama78 ![]() |

the problem you might have here is that the eng that will fit your stb might not have the tools for it as they have different installation teams,
they cannot detect your eurovox, you will not have to split it as he would do that when he does the cable extension for you, the signal should be fine you can run upto 5 stbs before your signal drops substansally |
