pcmcia slot for diablo cam

first a diablo cam looks to be a pcmcia card hopefully im correct

if that is correct can i put it in my pc using a pci to pcmcia adaptor

and then use it to read my digitalb card ?

All modules except the very first ones are designed to be interfaced through a PCMCIA port.

That does however not mean that one can communicate with the Diablo or any other CAM using the laptop PCMCIA port. The port might be used to power the CAM while being programmed.

You need to do this in Windows ;-)

I tried my Diablo in the PCMCIA slot on a laptop. Using Win & Redhat. Tried every utility to read from and write to it that I could find. No Success. Went out and got a CAS 3 interface. Happy with it so far. It can act like a phoenix & smartmouse when connected via serial port - my guess is this is your best chance of getting it to work on a Linux PC - but I can't make any promises. CAS 3 software is Windows only. WINE doesn't help either.

cam has to be done with a caz , some cams can be done with laptop xcam matrix and a few more but diablo no WAY
