It's not part of D+, I don't think; but rather a sort of 'redistribution'; I'm pretty sure they had a way of dealing with it on Alsat fairly recently (not intending to plug Alsat BTW).

Yes, that cable will work, but if the PC has not got a serial port, you need a USB to serial converter, Maplin sell them, I bought mine on Amazon.

The reason why we haven't answered is because the patch will do you no good for what you want, If you want German, French or Romanian/Hungarian and you can point to other satellites then it would be of use.

The Spanish channels you wanted would ave been part of digital plus on 30W and 19.2E, but they are now subscription only as they are nag3

If the channels are fta then any receiver will show them. If they are scrambled in Ngara 3 then you are sunk.

Having had a bit of a look around TDT is the Spanish DTT system and seems to be fta via the transmitter network.

Then each "Comunidad Automa" (Spain is divided in 17 mini sates with self goverment) has a complete mux with 4 channels, I live in Andalucia, in my case we have the two Andalucian Channels and the other two ones will be private andalucian tv stations.

The majority of these channels are part of D+ on 30W and secure scrambled.

It is not pay for stuff, just their standard free to view channels.... And the Mvision Sx series can do it... I just need to know how!

Yep it is Spanish terrestrial (DTT) but the package is on Hispasat and cannot be received on most satellite receivers; however, with some trickery the Mvision can do it; that is why I say send the chap to the 'dark side' which is where they say they have claimed a particular method of so using the Mvision.

Something I found.

"From what I understand from spain is that if you buy one of the official receivers and you have a dish that will pick it up on hispasat you will be able to get this. Alternatively there are receivers such as mvion s4 that with the latest firmware can decode this signal at the moment.

It is not a standard signal so normal boxes like technomate can't pick them up (not sure if they can with alterations)

They have put it on hispasat for those people in areas where they cant get the normal TDT signal in spain so it will remain free with the right receiver."
