Default What is the best Dreambox to get ?

hello i have never dealt with dreambox's and am thinking of getting one , which one would you recommend to be the best Dreambox ? , hope to hear from you all . thanks

I'm happy with my 7020, but at the end of the day it depends what you want to do with it that gives you a more defined choice

All of the Dreamboxes will do more or less the same basic functions. The 7025 differes from the other boxes in the 7000 series in the fact it uses Enigma 2 (Base operating system) where as the others use Enigma 1

If you can give us a rough idea of what you are intending to do with it we can then probably point you in the best direction. Also how much money do you have to play with as some of the boxes in the range aren't cheap

Just be aware though the Dreambox is not an easy box to use. It comes with a very steep learning curve

Hi all, nanochickin your posts are very interesting to read. I myself am stuck with stupid sky digital i myself am very much considering buying a dbox, eurovox etc but don't know which 1 to go for all i want it for is to watch some ppv channels as wel as sky channels but wouldn't know where to even start, how to load software set up etc etc something easy that can if possible auto update, cheers

was going to buy a box in Feb but found due to the loving people on here that it was all changing to nagravision 3 whatever that is

Nagravision is a means of encryption similar to NDS and many others the reason that there changing to nagra 3 is that the nagra 2 encryption has been hacked.

But I have read reports that nagra 3 has also been hacked recently. Well at least keys have been released.

Its always a cat and mouse game between hackers and suppliers and will be for the forseeable future
