TV Cabo tests HD
Portugal's main pay-TV operator TV Cabo has activated a new Hispasat transponder to start HDTV tests. The tests will be in the clear in MPEG-4 compression format. This is the first HDTV Portuguese test channel of this operator that distributes content either on satellite and on cable. Some sources have stated that TV Cabo will transmit the forthcoming Euro 2008 football tournament and the Beijing Olympic Games in HDTV. Source:Rapid Tv News |
