Hi all,
I am new to satelliting and this is my first entry in a forum. Here goes, I bought a Pace DS810xe cheap on ebay to get me into the world of satellites. Noticed you can buy things called CAMs so I did and got myself an Icecrypt. Tuned my 80cm dish to Hotbird to see what I could find. Loads of channels are available. Anyway when I tried the cam on F XTV I get a message saying Invalid CI module for this programme. I looked into the settings for the Icecrypt and it is unlocked using all in the select CA section, also it says it is valid until 2010. What am I doing wrong or do I need something else. Thanks in advance |

Sorry, I don't know anything about the Icecrypt. But what ever CAM you use it has to be capable of decoding the paricular ebcryption method used, whether it be Irdeto, conax, nagravision,Betacrypt,Viacess or what ever.
The well known CAMs for doing this are the Diablo and the Jolly CAM, also the Dragon/Trex. With the appropriate files these can decrypt a few packages. Robbo ![]() |
