Default starting Again

Hi

I've just joined the forum
I have had a 0.9 mtr motorised dish since 1988 using Uniden UST 771 & 7007, used to watch filmnet etc. However when digital sat came out stopped using the system and went to Sky digital. I believe the relevant digital receivers at that time were approx £500 -800. And besides Sky, the rest were still analogue
I used to like watching foreign TV programmes so I am starting the dish up again. Just ordered a Technomate 5400 with V box and new universal feedhorn and LNB
Theres obviously a lot more channels available now than then
The channels I used to enjoy at the time were Discovery on 27w
and the German and Italian, I believe they were 16-23e
Looking forward to investigating the air waves again

Welcome John

You've decided to join back up with us at just the right time

Theres quite a bit that most of the time can be opened up with your receiver once its been patched.

Theres Premiere (German) on 19.2e which has been wide open for ages, TPS (French) on 13e another one thats been open as long as i can remember, Polsat (Polish) on 13e, Digi TV (Eastern european) on 1w and a few other bits encrypted in Biss on other satellites

Theres also talk of a hack for Conax becoming public soon aswell so you may also have access to the Telenor stuff on 1w in the near future

Digi TV is probably the best package open at the moment as it has discovery, some film channels and other stuff that may be of interest to the red blooded male

Welcome back from the wilderness

Nano

Hi Nano
Thanks for the information

When I receive the equipment and get it up and running, I will certainly come for some information on the patches that are available and more importantly how to install them
