i only have a laptop and most laptops dont have the rs232 port, ive brought an adaptor but didnt work due to no software. any ideas? thanks

otherwise you can get a usb to rs323 cable, got mine from fleebay for £3

think the drivers worked but wen i click download to update software just comes up saying no com port?? i got a usb cable (the converter) which has a usb and the other end a female end, i plug that into the male end which then goes into the box????

You still need to use your NULL MODEM cable i.e connect box to NULL MODEM cable to usb cable to PC.
