Dear all,
I have started a new website - http://www.satbeams.com. The site allows to view the Satellite Coverage maps for most of the satellites all over the globe in Google Maps format. At the same time it is possible to place markers on the map stating which frequencies/channels one can receive at the specific location and view what others can receive from the selected satellite in different places of the world. I have just started this project and I am very interested to receive your feedback - feel free to read the FAQ section and post your questions there. If you discover some bugs and inconsistencies - please do not hesitate to contact me directly (there is a "contact" link at the bottom). If you find the site helpful and would like to support it I would really appreciate if you could place your own markers on the map stating the frequencies that you can get at you location (and especially the most difficult ones that may appear beyond the official coverage zone). ![]() Best regards, Alexander |

Thank you for your feedback and support!
As I have just started the site some things may not be correct, smooth and obvious. But I can already see that people find it useful and keep coming back. Your feedback is important for me and I will try to do my best to improve the site. At the same time I need the support from the community to improve the database of equipment and channels, so looking forward to see more of your reports! ![]() Sincerely, Alexander www.satbeams.com |

I think I know what happened. Your session has expired while you were entering data. I will double the default session time to avoid such a problem in the future. Also I suggest that you hit Save button after 3-5 records just to ensure that no data is lost! 15 probably took a little bit tool long... ![]() |

There is a performance problem on older browsers and PCs.
The website is done with Google Maps and Javascript and is very greedy for the local PC resources. If you access the site with FireFox 3beta or Safary browser you will notice significant improvement in performance. The worst performer is Internet Explorer 6 as its Javascript implementation is quite poor. |
