I have an Infinity USB Unlimited. I am having problems opening and writing cards using Nagra edit. I keep getting set IFS problem or cam ID error. I am using the latest firmware. Has anyone any idea how to get it to work in Nagra Edit.

which card are you writing to ? you can use infinity softwere to programme its much easier

I have programmed a Funcard with it using the infinity siftware but I was wondering why it would not work with Nagra Edit when I use the VCP setting. I want to be able to do a MOSC with the programmer if possible.

you can do mosc card in nagra enable vcp mode try reading the card

I have enabled VCP and tried to open the card in Nagra Edit and end up with "failed to open card" message.

check your COM in vcp setting check if the com is same as in nagraedit

The com settings are correct. The program recognises the card type and version then fails to open.

I have found the problem. I have uninstalled software version 2.71 and installed version 2.63. Nagra now recognises the card but now asks for backdoor password.

dump the card in xncs to retrieve bd keys

Many people including myself have had problems reading a MOSC ROM cards with an Infinity USB Unlimited programmer. It seems the cards don't like the VCP mode.

There is another programmer called dynamite+ that works using the serial (rs232) port to program MOSCs. It also has an advantge of being able to unloop cards that are locked.

If you get no joy, try the dynamite+.
