Has anybody got any pictures of the cable i require to put new software onto my starview box. As i have 2 spare cables that i have from my old p.c

Hi mate, It would do no harm to have a look on flebay, they have them there and I think that there are pics of them, just a idea, hope it helps.

You ideally want a pic of the internals of it nnot the external,there is a pic in this section of the pinouts

Standard Null modem pinout.
Easy to make if you have the bits but probably cheaper to get one on fleabay for £1.99
