Ok, wanted to install the floppy on a spare pci-e slot, only the northbridge fan on the motherboard was in the way, oh btw this card connects with firewire and only sits in spare pci or pci-e slots it don’t connect to them. I had to remove my technotrend card and replace with the floppy; I’ll shuffle things around later and make use of the technotrend.
In XP (remember two hdd’s 1 with XP, 1 with vista) installed the firedtv software/drivers etc, did a scan with fireDTV viewer 140 channels, got the fta but won’t decrypt with the cam/fun4 (card works perfect with dvbdream/dvbviewer and softcams) this is what I get from the support tool.

Btw don’t need them KB updates with sp3 in XP (yes "I" eye is my hdd)

Looks like I’m doing something wrong flashing the fun4, creating the Exteep I’ve given it a false boxkey (from another site) an ird off a mates box, not adding keys as per the latest fun information, using the latest flash file for my area.
Same in vista got all the fta in firedtviewer no scrambled, made all the channels visible to MCE after a scan. In fire dtv if I right click/view/cam it has multi ca module (v 0.79) the boxkey is correct but the ird says B??
Has anyone any advice? or on creating the fun4.

Yes m8, you've programmed the fun wrong. you need to put in the boxkey given by the cam in the Exteep as the card need to pair with the cam. The ird can be anything as long as it is realistic.

Insert the cam without the card in, look up the boxkey in the cam interface and then program the fun4 with the boxkey you've just found.

if ur cam/bk match u should be ok - u can change the cam and card to anything as long as it 8 pair of hexadecimal - no need to use the cam default bk of D2......etc...i changed all mine to the same as my sammys mosc then u only got to create 1 img.

make sure u erase ur fun before programming...i usually modify the img in nagraedit first making sure all dates are valid especially rights date, expirery date etc as if u were writing a mosc....save this convert to bin / hex use the new flash for ur area......it takes a while for the keys to update....can be 30sec or i've had it as long as 15mins for the first update.....

cheers

I got a freextv cam and flashed to a joker 0.79, in the cam menu it gives me the boxkey but i cannot change it so i needed to program the card to that boxkey to work. And i used bigmaq's image which updated within seconds.

you can change it by going into any application, eg the card app, mytheatre, ritzdvb - click on ci module and then click on nagra and the option to change the bk will be there....u can also change it in the cas studio app....see pics

Attachment 2841

Attachment 2842

Attachment 2843

Attachment 2844

you input in decimal but it converts to hexadecimal....0 - 255 dec = 0 - FF hex

eg 046 dec = 2E hex

I don’t think it is the cam (not sure though) if I start firedtv with the cam in and access it I get as picture above. Taken out blank, when I start mytheatre on start up it starts off saying looking for conditional access module, then CI slot # 1: empty, if I go to settings common interface it says empty slot. Restarted the machine with the cam out, same. restarted the machine with the cam in, same.
