To be honest, I reckon this move is just a temporary measure, well that's what I'm hoping anyway.

Hopefully when enough people have got Freesat they will change the coding to a standard that other HD boxes can receive also.

I reckon that you might well be right Robbo, I can't see them keeping it for only freesat. I should think that the more people that they could get to watch their HD the better, so they would hardly keep the general public from seeing the HD version of their output. Those who advertise with them would not be the best pleased I should think.

Very best regards Wez

Thats the thing 50,000 SKY HD boxes plus the odd 5,000 FTA boxes floating around are all willing to receive ITV HD right now and are in the target market advertisers love.

Thanks for that Anglosat, on my Comag I flag a few channels as scramble
and then get them FTA.

However, for the time being, ill stay in a time warp, 29 inch Sony CRT now in its 18th year or so, although I do have a 21 inch sony CRT Flat screen. And my comag which cost £18 with the dish from Lidl, when they had a clear out three years ago, or was it four year ago.

By the way Sainsburys were flogging off 32 inch Sony LCDs, £599 reduced
to £299 last Saturday in Wrexham, they were advertised £599 down to £399 then they knocked another £100 off to get rid, forget the model number, anyhow they were in unopen boxes, HD etc Etc, 2 HDMI and 2 scart in plus the other gubbins. Was tempted, but it was cash down &
got a few bills to pay.
The set model was 32inch3000U,still on the web at £599.

Bob
