Hi
After an enormous amount of picture freezing with the Cable Ferret image recently, I've just flashed my box with the Laky Pro image, hoping for an improvement. However, it seems that either the password and login for this image is not 'root' and 'dbox2' or it is not compatible with Windows explorer. Every time I connect to the box and select 'open page with windows explorer' in order to copy over files I just get a blank folder and the message 'error 55, make sure you have permission to access this folder'. One of the final posts in the last Laky pro thread I found also talks about this problem so it's not just me. Is there a different password/login for this image or are we stuck with not being able to download files to the dbox through the PC while using this image? Thanks in advance for any advice. |

I had a huge headache with this as well. Eventually, I managed to access the ftp using CuteFTP, but even that took a lot of tweaking, and I'm not entirely sure what I did to get it to work. (I'm not particularly tech-savvy!) I would suggest giving that a try.

Thanks for the response, I was trying SmartFTP for ages yesterday but for some unknown reason it wouldn't seem to connect. I know all the network settings were correct, I'll give CuteFTP a try and see if I can get it to work.
I have since seen a thread on another forum confirming that laky Pro isn't Windows Explorer compatible and a FTP client is needed, so looks like that's the only way short of flashing a different image. The plus is, so far in six hours of using it the image hasn't frozen once, compared with spells with Cableferret where it froze every 5 minutes so I'm happy with that. It's just a shame it's not so easy to copy over services and bouquets should I wish to put the image on my mates' boxes. *cracks knuckles* Always something new to learn... ![]() |

I have been using Filezilla as my FTP application for ages and it works perfectly (and it's free). I changed from Cable Ferret to Laky Pro last week (no special reason just curious) and Filezilla worked immediately with the Laky image, no changes of any kind required. Obviously the password and login must be the same as that for Cable Ferret (and lots of others).
The services and bouquets can be backed up to a PC in a matter of seconds, they are in /var/tuxbox/config/zapit/ |

Thanks for the heads up on Filezilla, just tried it and it worked no problems first time. No idea why SmartFTP wouldn't work, all the settings were the same but for some reason it wouldn't connect.
Really glad it got sorted, think I'll be using Laky pro from now on as it seems a lot more stable. Worth the slight extra effort to use a FTP client imo. |

You could also try the Enigma image or Blade Quad available from the Private FTA links

When FTP'ing to the Laky Pro 1 Image the default directory is "Root", you need to go back up directory structure to get the the main menu directory where the VAR/KEYS directory is?
hope this is right? ![]() cheers g2k. |
