Hi,
I've got a Max V 2008 box, with the 18/04 firmware on it. Ever since i updated my box with the latest firmware on it, most of the S*Y M*vies channels are crackerling, then it says 'NO SIGNAL' for a few seconds then it comes back on for a min, starts jerking, then NO signal again. Its started to happen on the Sp**ts channels now and the discovery ones, even BBC 2 was ******* about yesterday when i was watching the snooker. I've checked my signal strength and its on 80ish % and with the signal booter setting on it reachs 90+%. after the update i backed up my cdf file and just reloaded that back on. should i try a power scan? PLEASE HELP!!!

I had the same problem after installing the 18/04 firmware.
I solved it by reinstalling the firmware. Strangely my channel data stayed intact so a new scan was not necessary. It worked for me so it's worth a try. |

pimp-khan... ive had exactly the same problem ....i only had my Virgin BB line installed 3 weeks ago .....B.B only but obviously i split the feed between the b.b and my EV Box.
Ive been so f***in fed up with pixcellation probs ...no signal msgs.... then picture stable for a few seconds ....then "here we go again " I did run diags on my modem using the ip address 192.168.100.1 ..logged in ...checked downstream snr and power level.... they were at 34db and raning from -9 db to -12 db ....aparently this all points to a p*ss poor signal ...b.b has been ok but EV Box not. Is yours a new line feeding into your house or been installed for a while ?? Also which booster did you try ?? Im just wating delivery of the Konig booster recommended to me on here by Shaun R ..its specifically desinged for catv/NTL |

Thanks MancBoy...But i've just tried flashing the firmware and so far so good! ![]() But my connection is directly into the box and one directly into the modem, no splitting. the signal booster i tired was the one built into the box, which i enabled. can you let me know how the Konig booster worked? Also try flashing your box again, worked for me so far. but cheers

Have you tried the 21/04/08 Kuro firmware as it was designed to help people with this problem, I am sure it is in the download section.
