Hi burton, I assume you mean 19.2E and 13E. Do you get any signals from 30W? There is a strong possibility that your arc has been set up not centred on the due south position so that your dish is moving away from the correct arc as it leaves 13E.

What size dish is it? Did you set it up yourself? What type of motor is it? Are you using Diseqc1.2 or USALS or is it a 36V You should have Thor unless your dish is too small as the system SHOULD have been set up on that. |

Hi Burton,
I would expect that being in Bath, you should set your dish up on 5W Atlantic Bird 3 and use this frequency 11139.00 V Symbol Rate29947 FEC 7/8 You will be able to get that one with an 80Cm dish anyway. To set up you dish, set the motor to Zero, make sure the dish is sitting so that the LNB holder arm is pointing straight from the Zero line on the motor shaft (the bit that turns). Set the scale on the side of the motor to the latitude of your location. Now slacken the U bolts that hold the motor to the pole, not too much, just enough to allow you to move it. Set your receiver to the above frequency and move the whole motor and dish round the pole till you get a very good signal on your meter or receiver, I find it better to use my receiver and a portable TV, for positioning the dish, though I have my dish low enough to allow me to work at it from the ground, but if you don't then your meter will do. When you have the best signal you can get, lock the motor to the pole and then go to the dish, at the back of the dish there is a scale, not the one that you set on the motor, this scale is for the azimuth/elevation setting of the dish, you should have set this approximately to the right setting before you started, forgot to say that to you then. Slacken the nut that holds the dish in place on this and move the dish up or down till you get the very best signal you can get, sometimes the signal will drop when you tighten the dish up again, you need to just do it by the seat of your pants to get it right, but that should get you all the satellites viewable on the arc from Bath. If you have not done it yet, set your latitude and longitude into the usuals in the receiver and then the dish should got to every satellite that is in the box, don't forget to enable usuals in the menu. Hope this is of help to you and have a good time with the receiver when you get it set right. Please do not think that I am in any way being patronising towards you, if you have done what I have suggested then well and good, but I am trying to assist you as best as I can. Very best regards Wez
